Are you a franchise?

No, we are an independently owned business. We maintain our equipment and offer you support.

What areas do you cover?

We cover most areas within a 25-mile radius of London and occasionally further.

What type of Client do you work for?

We serve Domestic and Commercial Clients, including homeowners, landowners, and others.

Are you insured against damage?

Yes, we are insured to provide Stump Grinding Services and have Public Liability Insurance in place for £5 million. This enables us to work with Public and Commercial entities.

Do you work for Domestic Customers?

Yes, we serve both Domestic and Commercial Customers.

What alternative methods are there to Stump Griding?

There are a couple of alternatives to Stump Grinding, but we usually advise against them for these reasons.

Manual Removal: Some stumps are much larger or deeper than they appear, and removal can take two people a day or more. Even if successful, the effort and cost aren’t worth it.

Digger Excavation: Excavation may leave both the stump and a significant hole. This can create additional costs and challenges in restoring the area.

Burning: Burning stumps is often ineffective and presents safety risks. It is not recommended.

Poisoning: Drilling holes into a stump and applying chemical substances, sometimes called stump poison, may sound appealing if you have the time and patience. However, this method is not ideal if you require immediate removal and a guarantee that the stump is gone.

Can I replant and lay grass?

Yes, afterwards you can add topsoil and turf or reseed as needed.

Will I be left with a big hole in the ground?

No, we backfill the area to restore it to ground level.

Do you remove the Tree Roots?

Root removal is possible but must be evaluated on site, as certain factors may complicate the process.

How long does it take?

Completion time depends on the size and number of stumps. Typically, removal of an average-sized stump takes under an hour. Additional work, such as root removal, may extend the process.

Does it create a lot of waste?

Stump Grinding typically produces wood chips, small pieces of wood produced when the stump is ground down. This byproduct is useful for backfilling the hole. The chippings help fill the space, support the soil, provide nutrients, and offer a neat finish.

Does it cause a lot of noise?

No, our machines are no louder than most petrol-powered machinery. We avoid causing prolonged disturbances.

Can you get your equipment through my property?

We have a narrow access machine that can fit through an average townhouse gate or alleyway of about 76cm.  All we need is sufficient access to the stump.

Is Stump Grinding Expensive?

No, we aim to be reasonable on price, and you will be amazed at the benefit-to-cost of removing the Stump yourself, in terms of time and money.

Why would I  want Stump Grinding Services

There are several reasons to use a stump grinding service. For example:

Safety: Stumps can be a tripping hazard, especially in busy or high-traffic areas. Removing stumps reduces the risk of injury.

Appearance: Stumps can detract from the landscape. Removing them improves your property’s visual appeal.

Increased Property Value: A clean, stump-free lawn or garden enhances your property’s overall appearance, boosting its value.

Health: Old stumps may attract pests and diseases that can threaten other trees or plants.

Removing stumps helps prevent such issues.

Ease: Stump grinding restores the area quickly and safely without the need for excavation and extensive digging.

Easier Landscaping: Stump grinding allows you to replant, sod, or use the space for new landscaping ideas.
